This event joins with the Tour de Gastown and Tour de White Rock to comprise the "BC Superweek" series of events in the vicinity of Vancouver, British Columbia. Not coincidentally, the series shares the traditional name of the International Cycling Classic which takes place at the same time. In 2006 the Tour de Delta concludes the event rather than starting it.
