The race was originally scheduled for 10/6-10/9, was later shifted into the date slot vacated by the cancellation of the United Texas Tour, and now the latest UCI calendar indicates that the race is cancelled. This is confirmed by the race's disappearance from the NRC calendar. This leaves the Cougar Mountain Classic as, once again, the only major event on this date.
The race seemed to be little more than a name all season with no event website and no known press releases. Based on the name and location, one could have guessed that it might have been held in The Cliffs, a group of exclusive residential communities near Greenville.
