International Cycling Classic (aka Superweek)
*Based on 2005 event information
Latest Update: After having been excluded from the initial NRC for 2006, four days of this long-running event are now added to the schedule. This certainly isn't a classic stage race but it's hard to classify this unique event. At 17 days, it is easily the longest race on the North American calendar. In fact, it's more than twice as long as all other events with the exception of the Vuelta a Cuba. However, it is scored as an omnium with most of the races being criteriums, so riders typically do not race the entire series. It faces competition from two big stage races, the Cascade Cycling Classic and the Tour de Toona. |
